We have one trainee program within the H&M group with different tracks, we call them Digital Growth Trainee and Tech Trainee.
The program is about learning as much as you can, building your network and finding your first role. We have different tracks within the program depending in your background and interest.
To keep it simple, either you´re tech with a touch of
business or business with a touch of tech.
Both tracks are linked to our digital transformation
journey but within the Tech Trainee track we see that you have a
profound tech interest, with an academical background linked to
Engineering, Data, IT or Tech. Most importantly, you see
yourself working with tech within H&M Group providing tech
solutions for the entire group.
The Digital Growth
Trainee track is also connected to our digital transformation
journey within H&M Group but more looking at it from a
business perspective. The shift towards a more digital customer
experience and offer affects our way of working within many
areas (anything from assortment to expansion and sales to name a
few) and it´s within this shift that you will be placed as a
trainee. Trainees taking part in the Digital Growth Trainee
track will most likely have a degree in Business, Economics,
Statistics or Marketing and an interest within digitalization.
The program runs for a year, starting at the end of august. It starts off with about 6-8 weeks long introduction to H&M Group before heading into a more detailed introduction depending on where your track is hosted.
The Tech trainee track will be held in Stockholm.
The Digital Growth Trainee track will start off in
Stockholm, but you will also get the chance to do rotations out
in our regions around the world.
Yes, we will of course help you with that. We provide you with a comprehensive service to get you going in Sweden. For the Trainee Program we offer a “relocation package” for candidates relocating to Sweden, more information about this will be provided to relevant candidates further down the recruitment process. If you are assigned a rotation/project outside of Sweden during the Digital Growth Trainee track, we will arrange with accommodation for that specific location as well.
You will have the opportunity to have contact with trainees from the previous trainee year, experienced colleagues working in different areas in our business and you will also have a manager that takes care of you.
As a trainee, you will get a market-based, monthly salary throughout the program and H&M Employee benefits.
For the Tech track we would like you to have an education within Engineering and for the Digital Growth track you need an education within Business, Economics or similar. The only language that is mandatory is English.
You can add documents to your application by logging into your SmartRecruiters account, which you can create after applying to the H&M Group Trainee Program.
No, you don't need to speak Swedish to be eligible for the Trainee Program. The only language that is mandatory is English.
Please write your application in English. When applying, we ask you to upload your CV and proof of education. You don’t need to attach any written references in this step of the recruitment process.
We will get back to you as soon as possible after the last application day. As a first step in the recruitment process, selected candidates will conduct analytical and behavioral web-tests and then as a second step, AI video interviews. If we believe you have what it takes you will be invited to virtual assessment days for each track in mid January and beginning of February. Final interviews will be held in the beginning of February.
You can apply to the program between 24th October and 18th December.
Yes, you are. You enter your employment in H&M with a 6-month probationary period that turn into a permanent employment halfway into to the program.
You´re set for different journeys depending on which track of the program you take part in. If taking part in the Tech Trainee track you will take on a permanent full time role within Tech at H&M Group after the program ends, as e.g. a Data Analyst, Software Engineer etc. Within the Digital Growth Track, you will take on a permanent fulltime role within the H&M Group linked to our business and digital transformation journey, either at the Head Office in Stockholm, Sweden or abroad within our regions.
